Vijay Sharma founded Apex Coaching Centre in Jaipur's Vaishali Nagar in 2018. The centre offered JEE and NEET preparation for Class 11 and 12 students. By 2023, they had 80 enrolled students and a waitlist that Vijay managed through a single WhatsApp group.
The WhatsApp problem
"We had enquiries coming in on WhatsApp, my personal phone, the centre's landline, and referrals from teachers," Vijay says. "I was answering the same questions 40 times a day. Fees, schedule, faculty, batch timings. It was completely unmanageable." Leads were falling through the cracks. Parents who messaged on WhatsApp often didn't get replies for hours, and by then they'd moved on to another centre.
Building the system with Growthzi
Apex launched their Growthzi website over a weekend. The site included detailed course pages for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and NEET preparation. Each listing curriculum, faculty credentials, batch sizes, and fee structure. An admission enquiry form collected name, class, and preferred contact time, routing submissions directly to Vijay's email.
"For the first time, I had structured leads with all the information I needed to call someone back properly," he says. "Instead of 'Hi sir interested in coaching,' I was getting 'My name is Riya, Class 11, interested in NEET batch, available after 5pm.'"
Results in the first academic year
The website launched in April. Three months before the new academic year in July. By June, Apex had received 340 enquiry form submissions. They called every lead within 2 hours. Conversion rate: 38%. That's 129 new enrolled students. Up from 80 the previous year.
WhatsApp is now used only for existing student communication. All new admissions flow through the website form.
The unexpected benefit: credibility
"Parents in Jaipur judge coaching centres by their website," Vijay explains. "Before Growthzi, parents would arrive and say 'I couldn't find information online.' Now they arrive having read everything. Faculty bios, past results, testimonials from students. The first conversation is completely different."
Apex now runs two centres and is expanding to a third. The website that took a weekend to build became the foundation of a business that has tripled in size.
